They offer local foster children a free week of positive memories and royal treatment in a Christian camp environment. Their mission is to create life-changing moments for children of abuse and neglect. They are dedicated to breaking the cycle of abuse and healing the scars of the past for children in foster care in Cowlitz County. Each moment spent with these children is an opportunity to plant the seeds of hope, happiness and wholeness that will transform them into resilient adults that have the ability to overcome challenges and be successful and healthy members of our community. Cowlitz County Chaplaincy is a non-profit organization that ministers to people emotionally, relationally, and spiritually usually after a traumatic life event. Chaplains are not police officers/firefighters. They serve as CARE givers to the people of Cowlitz County free of charge.
